O Prof Ming-Kai Chin, importante pesquisador de Hong-Kong, Presidente do Forum Internacional de Educacao Física que será realizado em abril nos Estados Unidos, estará nesta próxima terça-feira, 9 de fevereiro, visitando o CELAFISCS quando apresentará palestra sobre suas experiências na área, por volta das 17 horas.

Biography
Dr. Ming-kai Chin received his Ph.D. in exercise physiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA in 1985 and was the Head, Sports Science at the Hong Kong Sports Institute from 1987 - 1995. He was also the former Head ( 1998 - 2000 ) at the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science, Hong Kong Institute of Education from 1995 -2005 and is a Professor, School of Health, Physical Education and Leisure Services (HPELS), University of Northern Iowa, USA. His research interests lie in the fields of human performance, physical activity, health and fitness, IT and Problem-based Learning in teaching and learning. An editor of 6 books and author of over 120 publications in scientific and sports journals in English and Chinese, Dr. Chin has given over 90 keynote and invited presentations, and over 70 paper presentations in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific Region. He was the recipient of the first Wild and White Visiting Scholar Award ( 2002 - 2003 ) at the University of Northern Iowa; Fellow of AIESEP and Research Consortium of AAHPERD and is one of the four Founding Members; Past President (2005-2008), Secretary General of Asian Council of Exercise and Sports Science (ACESS); Editor-in-Chief of Asian Journal of Exercise and Sports Science (AJESS) and the former Course Director of Sports Science, Hong Kong Olympic Academy, Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong-China.
